Biography


Michael Friedman
has always had a passion for storytelling and technology.

At the age of 23, he was one of the youngest executives at Showtime Networks. Michael oversaw dozens of films, produced all over the world, most notably the 1998 theatrical release of Down In The Delta, directed by author and poet laureate Maya Angeleou.

After leaving Showtime, Michael began
editing for film and television. In 2005, he earned a Primetime Emmy Award® for his editing efforts on The Amazing Race.

In 2010, he produced the sixth and final season of MTV’s hit, The Hills. The series was named a ‘new classic’ and one of the 100 best shows of the past 25 years. Michael has contributed to four shows on that ‘hundred best’ list.

After editing a succession of influential and popular reality television shows, Michael was honored with a Primetime Emmy Award® in 2005 for his work on The Amazing Race.

Motion Picture Production Executive


As Director of Motion Picture Production for
Showtime, Michael was responsible for overseeing dozens of films which ranged in budget from two to five million dollars. He was charged with keeping the productions on schedule, and within budget, while managing A-list talent on both sides of the camera. He hired key crew personnel and supervised day to day production while on-set for each film. Locations included Los Angeles, Toronto, Montreal and Zimbabwe.
